SWIM CULTURE

ABOUT US

Here at Swim Culture, we recognise it is important that learning to swim be a personal and private experience to ensure the best possible progression and to make our children feel safe and secure.
Swim Culture is a boutique learn to swim facility in Bendigo with a maximum of one class at any one time. We have a real family feel where we can discuss your child’s progress every class, we know every child’s name and greet them with a high 5 and a smile!
Participation in regular swimming lessons provided the opportunity for children of all ages to build confidence and familiarity in an aquatic environment with the added benefit of improving fitness.
We believe Learn to Swim Schools should be small, intimate, and private so that every child feels safe and at home as we join them on their swimming journey.

WHY CHOOSE US

SWIM CULTURE

Swim Culture believe there is a real need for a specialised facility to teach babies and children critical first skills in the water in our community.

Previously kids have learnt in aquatic centres along with squad swimmers, public swimmers and other members of the community. These facilities were often noisy and intimidating for little beginners, who need a calm and more personal environment to help them build confidence and those tentative water early skills.

Personalised Learning

We tailor lessons to each swimmer’s age, ability, and confidence level — helping them progress at their own pace.

To support this, we run only one class at a time, creating a calm and focused environment with minimal distractions.

With a maximum of four students per Learn to Swim class, each child receives more individual attention, faster feedback, and greater opportunity to practice and grow.

Accreditation

Swim Culture is a member of Life Saving Victoria.

Our program is tailored from years of experience from the Swim and Survive program as well as AustSwim courses and professional developments.

Here are Swim Culture we focus on the fundamentals, from survival at a young age, to correct stroke techniques and endurance.

COMMON QUESTIONS

If you have any question not answered here, please reach out, we are always happy to discuss our school with you.

How many students per class?

All learn to swim classes have a maximum of 4 students per class.

How long is each lesson?

All classes run for 30 minutes.

What swim wear is required?

Any children who are not toilet trained outside of swimming lessons must wear a swimming nappy.

Is there parking at your swim school?

Onsite parking is available at our centre. We ask that customers park within the marked spaces in the driveway.

Swim Culture is not responsible for any damage to vehicles whilst parking at the centre.

Do you have change facilities?

Our centre offers unisex change facilities for your convenience, consisting of baby change tables and showers.

Is your pool heated?

To keep babies and children comfortable, we have a constant water temperature of between 32-33 degrees over Summer and 35-36 over Winter.

How much are your lessons?

Our lessons are $20 per lesson. Our lesson runs by school terms.

Eg. If a term is 10 weeks long,  lesson fees would cost $200 per student.

Will we have the same swimming teacher each week?

Yes – our philosophy is to have the same teacher each week as this is the best for your child’s learning. Whilst we do endeavour to maintain the same teacher, the reality is that there are also times when teachers do change or are absent for your lesson.

Can both parents be in the infant classes?

Unfortunately, no. But you can take it in turns! Our small intimate pools are built to give your child the optimal learning experience free of distraction.

What are your payment options?

Term fees are paid upfront prior to each term commencing.

An invoice will be generated and emailed for the term to be paid via direct deposit.

Do I need to go in the pool with my child?

In classes with children under 3 a parent is required in the water.

We are leveraging off the trust built with a parent/guardian to help them through initial stages of conditioning and confidence.

We also recommend that you wear a top that can be easily held by your child such as a rash shirt.

Do you offer private lessons?

This depends on availability of teachers and classes. As private lesson times are limited, give us a call and have a chat to Daniel to discuss your child’s needs so we can best cater to their learning abilities.
